আমাদের সমাজে কতনা ঘটনা ঘটে চলেছে প্রতিনিয়তই সেরকম একটা বাস্তব ঘটনা তুলে ধরব যদি কারো জীবনের সাথে মিলে যায় আমাকে ক্ষমা করবেন.
আরিফ অফিস থেকে ফেরার পথে একটি আবাসিক হোটেল পরে নিম্ন মধ্যবিত্ত পরিবারের একমাত্র বাহন হচ্ছে পাদুকা নিজ বাহনে আসতে আসতে আবাসিক হোটেলের সামনে আসলেই একটি মেয়ে হোটেল থেকে বের হয়ে তার সামনে দিয়ে হেঁটে চলে যায় হঠাৎ করে আরিফকে দাঁড়ায় আরিফ চলে যাওয়ার পথের দিকে চেয়ে থাকে আর কি যেন মনে মনে ভাবছে মেয়ে বোরকা পরা মুখ হিজাব করা সে নিজের অজান্তেই কি যেন মিল আছে ভাবতে ভাবতে বাসায় আসে ফারহানা তার কাছে জানতে চাই কফিনের শরবত খাবে আরিফ জবাব দেয় সে এখন কিছু খাবে না ফারহানা বলে তাহলে ফ্রেশ হয়ে নাও আমি টেবিলে খাবার দিচ্ছি বলে জুতা ওষুধ নিয়ে রেখে কিচেনের দিকে চলে যায় আরিফ কিছুক্ষণ আনবো না ভেবে ফ্রেশ হয়ে খাবার খেয়ে আরাম করতে চলে যায়
পরের দিন ও যথারীতি আর এভাবেই যায় ফেরার সময়ে সেই হোটেল থেকে সেই মেয়েটি তার সামনে দিয়ে বেরোয় আরিফ হঠাৎ করে দাঁড়ায় তারপর আবার সে বাসার উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা করে
তৃতীয় দিন অফিস থেকে ফেরার সময় মনে মনে স্থির করে যে আজ মেয়েটির পিছু নেবে কারণ তার সন্দেহ মেয়েটা আর কেউ নয় তার বউ ফারহানা পোশাক এবং চালচলন দেখতে ফারহানার মতোই ভাবতে-ভাবতে হোটেলের সামনে এসে যায় মেয়েটি হোটেল থেকে বের হয় সে পিছু নেবে এমন সময় তার এক কলিগ তাকে ডাক দেয় আরিফের আর পিছু নেওয়া হয় না মেয়েটির
আরিফ চিন্তা করে হওয়ারই আবাসিক হোটেলে গিয়ে জিজ্ঞাসা করবে এবার ভাবে কে কি বলবে সেজন্য ভয় পায় ভয় কে পিছনে ফেলে তিনি হোটেলে ম্যানেজারের কাছে যায় আর ম্যানেজারের কাছে জিজ্ঞাসা করে
আরিফ: ম্যানেজার সাহেব এইমাত্র যে মেয়েটি এখান থেকে বেরোলো তার নাম কি ?
ম্যানেজার: নাম তো বলা যাবেনা কেন প্রয়োজন নাকি ?
আরিফ: ফোন নাম্বারটা দেওয়া যাবে ?
ম্যানেজার: আমাদের ফোন নাম্বারটা নিতে পারেন আপনার যদি ওনাকে লাগে তাহলে ২০০০ টাকা লাগবে!
আরিফ উনি প্রত্যেকদিন আসে ?
ম্যানেজার না না মাঝে মাঝে আসে !
আরিফ কবে কবে আসে ?
ম্যানেজার শুক্র-শনিবার বাদে যে কোন দিন আসতে পারে !
আরিফ ম্যানেজারের কথা শুনে আরও সন্দেহ বেড়ে যায় ম্যানেজারের কাছ থেকে ফোন নাম্বারটা নিয়ে আগামীকাল আসবে বলে আরিফ বিদায় নেন
ম্যানেজার উনাকেই লাগবে ওকে স্যার !
আরিফ হোটেল থেকে বাসায় চলে যায় যথারীতি কাজ শেষ করে ঘুমাতে যায় কিন্তু তার ঘুম আসে না গভীর রাতে একা জেগে আছে ফারহানার মুখের দিকে তাকিয়ে ভাবতে ভাবতে রাত পার হয়ে যায় অশান্তিতে আপনি এই অফিসের উদ্দেশ্যে বের হয়ে আরিফ
কিন্তু আজ আরিফ অফিসে যায় না সে হোটেলে যায় ম্যানেজার তাকে ২০৩ নম্বর রুমে যেতে বলে হোটেলবয় ২০৩ নম্বর রুম খুলে দেয় আরিফ অপেক্ষা করতে থাকে ম্যানেজার ফোন করে মেয়েটিকে বলে হ্যালো আপনার একজন গেস্ট এসেছেন তিনি ২০৩ নম্বর রুমে আছে আপনি এসে দেখা করেন
ফোনের ওপাশ থেকে ওকে আমি এখনই আসছি
আরিফ খুবই রাগান্বিত অবস্থায় মনে মনে ভাবছে সে কি করবে তার বউ এত নিচে নামতে পারে টাকার জন্য আমার কি কোন মূল্য নাই ওর কাছে সন্তানের কোন মূল্য নাই ভাবনায় ছেদ পড়ল দরজা খুলে সেই বোরকা পরা মেয়েটির ভেতরে ঢুকলো আরিফ একরকম নিশ্চিত এটা তার বউরাগে ক্ষোভে দুঃখে অগ্নিশ্বর মূর্তি আরিফ বেডরুমে ঢুকে বোরখা খুলে আরিফের কাঁধে হাত রাখে হারি ক্রোধান্বিত অবস্থায় পিছনে ঘুরে তখনই ঠিক আরিফের ফোনটা বেজে ওঠে পকেট থেকে বের করে দেখে ফারহানার ফোন আরিফ হ্যালো ?
ফারহানা আমি হাসপাতাল এ যাচ্ছি তুমিও কাজ শেষ করে তাড়াতাড়ি চলে এসো
আরিফ কেন?
ফারহানা কেন মানে তোমাকে গত পরশুদিন বললাম না যে পাশের বাসার ভাবির বাচ্চাটা সিরিয়াস অসুস্থ আমি সেখানে যাই আরিফ তার ভুল বুঝতে পারে সে আবাসিক হোটেল থেকে সরি বলে বের হয়ে হাসপাতালে উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা দেয় হাসপাতালে গিয়ে ফারহানার কাছে ক্ষমা চাই এবং সুখের সংসার করতে থাকে
আমাদের শিক্ষা বর্তমান সমাজের সন্দেহের বশবর্তী হয়ে কত সংসার ধ্বংস হচ্ছে তার কোন ইয়ত্তা নেই পারিবারিক বিশ্বাস সংসারের মূলমন্ত্র বিশ্বাসের মজবুত করতে হবে এমন ভাবে যেন সামান্য কিছু সন্দেহ পারিবারিক অশান্তির সৃষ্টি না হয় ।
